As the Deputy Head and Registrar of the Registry of the Specific Claims Tribunal of Canada, I would like to extend an invitation to you and interested staff or colleagues to visit the Registry’s facilities located on the 4th floor of 427 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa.
The facilities, particularly the Multipurpose Tribunal Room, have been designed to be supportive of cultural accommodation in accordance with section 14 (1)(c) of the Specific Claims Tribunal Act. In appearance, the Multipurpose Tribunal Room is a significant departure from a traditional courtroom setting. It has audio-visual capability for site-to-site broadcasts and will serve as the electronic hub for all Tribunal proceedings whether in Ottawa or elsewhere in Canada.
The tours will run by appointment during the first two days of Aboriginal Awareness Week (May 25-26th, 2010).
Please RSVP to Mylène Smith, either by phone at 613.947.0748 or by e-mail at Mylene.Smith@sct-trp.ca.
We look forward to seeing you!
Respectfully,
Veda D. Weselake
